Anal Gland and Ear Hair Policy

I will not express anal glands or pluck ear hair unless you specifically request these services before the grooming appointment. Some clients prefer that these services not be performed, so I will always respect your wishes and ask for clear permission first.

Dematting Policy

I will only remove mild tangles or small areas of matting. I do not perform extensive dematting when a dog is severely matted all over. Pulling and brushing through excessive matting can be painful and stressful for the dog. Your dog’s safety and comfort are more important than saving a severely tangled coat. If the matting is extensive, I may recommend a shorter haircut as the safest and kindest option.

Safety and Behavior Policy

Please tell me before the appointment if your dog has bitten or attempted to bite during grooming in the past. Dogs that bite or attempt to bite will have a $10 additional charge because grooming them requires extra time, patience, and safety precautions. For everyone’s safety, I may stop the service if a dog becomes too distressed or cannot be handled safely.

Your dog’s comfort and grooming experience are important to me. I will work patiently, provide breaks when needed, and do my best to make each visit safe, calm, and positive.

Final prices may vary depending on the dog’s size, coat length and condition, behavior, and the amount of work required. Prices will be discussed before services begin.
